Chad Chad is a beautiful retriever mix. He is about 3 yrs old and 50lbs. He is just learning how to be a pet and all things are new to him. He gets along with other dogs, is working on his housebreaking and leash training. He's not so sure of kids, so older children or adults only for him. |
| Red Red is an adorable 2 year old Pekingese with a big personality. He is very smart learning the layout and rules of his foster home very quickly. He is living with 7 other dogs and a cat and gets along with all. He greets everyone with enthusiasm and loves to play. He also loves to be held and cuddled. Red is very happy being carried around so he can see everyone at eye level. He sleeps through the night and shares his toys. He does like to have his food all to himself though. At the last adoption day he decided that he had enough of entertaining new people and draped himself over the nearest lap for a nap. Red loves leash walks and car rides. He also seems housebroken. Red would do best in a home with adults and older children due to his size and personality.

| Sabina Sweet Sabina has been the perfect guest in her foster home. She is fully house trained (not a single accident!), loves other dogs and enjoys nothing more than being close to her foster mom. Sabina loves walks and is so easy on the leash. She sleeps quietly through the night next to the bed (but she would probably prefer to be on the bed, snuggled close). Sabina is nervous around new people and new situations so would prefer a quiet, adult household. She looks a lot like a wheaten-poodle mix, but she DOES shed. Sabina is much more beautiful in person than in a photo -- her dark features do not photograph well.

Julie Julie is a 1-2 year old minipin, she is a little shy at first, but once you get to know her she is the most energetic dog you’ll ever meet. Julie loves to run around at the dog park, and is sure to put a smile on your face. She’ll welcome you home with high jumps and a fast-moving short tail that she has. Julie always loves to play, and is great around kids. Just be careful she doesn’t lick your face off!

| Olive Olive is a beautiful Golden Retriever Mix. She is approximately 1 year old and weighs 75 pounds. Olive came to us very shy of people. She has made a lot of progress in her foster home. She loves to snuggle and thinks she is a lap dog. Olive enjoys going for long walks and running on the beach with other dogs. She would love a home with another dog to play with. She is very sweet and gentle with all dogs. Because of her shyness when meeting new people, she should not go to a home with young children.

Jasmine Jasmine is an adorable 1-2 year old female Otter Hound mix and is 36 lbs. She is a very friendly girl that gets along well with some other dogs. She likes to play and is a very active girl looking for a home that can be active with her and snuggle when the day is done. She can be a little jumpy, so would do best in a home with older children and no cats.

| Rover Rover is an adorable Pekepoo, about a year old. This sweet, happy boy can be a little on the shy side and needs a loving home with someone who will help him come out of his shell. He is friendly with other dogs and loves to play. He has a wee bit of an underbite which just adds to his adorable look!

Alli Alli is an adorable 14 week old Appenzell/Pointer mix, weighing between 15-18 lbs. She is an adorable little girl and loves to be held and cuddled. She is one of the seven puppies with their names beginning with A’s and the Mom is Mamma Mia. She is a typical puppy and loves to run and play with her siblings. She enjoys having children come to visit and play with her. She is now ready to be adopted into a loving home. The last photo is her beautiful momma. |
| Selma Selma is a perfectly wonderful 3 year old Gordon Setter mix of about 50 lbs, affectionate and calm. Selma has been diagnosed with an swallowing disorder & needs someone with patience to feed her. She needs to be feed 3 or 4 small meals a day of soft food or she is liable to spit up. Selma is a real gentle soul and fully house broken. She loves to relax at home or go for an easy walk. She is not demanding at all, just sweet and loving with big brown and soulful eyes. |

Dexter Dexter is a gorgeous black Lab and weighs around 80 lbs and is around 1 -2 years old. He is very strong and active and should go to a home that can provide regular exercise. He has the typical lab personality and does not know his size or strenght. Good natured boy!

Corey Corey is a sweet 4 months old pekapoo and weighs about 5 lbs. He is playful and snuggly too. Corey is small and compact but has a hearty appetite, he would do well with a another dog his size. He is working on his housebreaking and using wee wee pads. Corey is very sweet and craves human contact, he gets along well with the foster family children, however due to his size he should not go to a home with children under the age of 10. Corey is learning to walk on a lead. He turns his head almost 3/4 around when you talk to him.

| Huckleberry Huck is a sweet lab mix, about 2 years old and about 40 lbs. He is shy and can be hesitant at first but is a love once he gets to know you. He gets along great with other dogs and doesn't pay any attention to the cats in his foster home. He is housebroken but prefers not to be crated, he sleeps through the night in his foster family's bedroom. He's a little reserved at first and probably won't be best with small children that can be a bit unpredictable at times. Huck needs a home with another dog and an experienced owner that will help him build confidence and be properly socialized.

Eli Eli is an adorable 4-5 year old Dachshund. He gives real kisses, loves dogs of all sizes and is great with cats. He walks well on a leash with a harness. He definitely lives up to his breed by sniffing around everywhere he can squeeze his long nose. Since Eli is vertically challenged, he will need assistance in getting up on the bed and couch. He will need help to get down as well. Although Eli loves children, we feel he would do best in a home with children 5 and older since he is easy to trip over. He loves belly rubs and butt scratches. He is working on his housebreaking, but seems to get the idea. He enjoys a snuggly bed and playing with his toys. |

Ginger Ginger is an adorable 2 year old Yorkie mix about 12 lbs. She's a very sweet dog but can be shy at times and appears to be afraid of men. Once Ginger was comfortable she enjoyed giving her foster mom kisses and sitting in her lap for pets. Ginger is housebroken, good in the car, walks well on a leash, and sleeps quietly through the night in a crate in her foster mom's bedroom. She loves kids, other dogs and cats. She is an escape artist and will run away if doors are left open. She will need a very secure home and fenced yard. She would be a great apartment dog if it's secure and a wonderful companion. |

| Daphney Daphney is a sweet female beagle/bassett mix. She is sweet, friendly and outgoing. She is about 1-2 yrs old. She walks well on a leash, is working on her housebreaking and gets along with most dogs. She likes the dogs that are more her size or smaller. She is quite playful, plays tug of war, chases a ball (hasn't figured out how to bring it back though!) and of course always has her nose to the ground.

| Lauren Lauren is a two year old Shepherd mix, weighing about 35 pounds. She is on the small side for a shepherd, but with a big heart. She loves to look at her foster mom with big brown eyes that show how loyal and wonderful a pet she is. She is learning basic commands and always comes when called. She has a nice disposition and loves to play with toys. She will make a great companion for you. Since she can be a bit strong on the leash and at playtime, we recommend she go to a home with older children.

Chloe Chloe is a super-affectionate 1-2 year old Basset Hound. She loves everyone including children and other dogs. She is a true "people" dog and follows her foster Mom all around the house. She loves belly rubs and cuddle time! She also loves her stuffed moose. She is house trained as well as crate trained. She does know basic commands but is still a young girl and could use some additional training. (What young hound can resist a little counter cruising now and then?) Though she is a Basset, she is by no means entered her "couch potato" years and would benefit from being kept somewhat active to ensure she maintains a healthy weight which is critical to this breed.

He has been with a family for almost 2 years that doesn't have the time for him anymore. He is very friendly, cuddly and energetic with a playful personality. Felix Felix is truly one of a kind. Not only does he have a unique happy-go-lucky personality, but you'd be hard-pressed to find another physique just like this one! He loves everybody and is good with dogs and cats. His first visit to a dog park went well and despite those stubby little legs, he sure likes to run. He's a bit intimidated by pushy dogs and in his foster home, backs away from the cats that don't want to make friends. He would love to have a home where he can get some exercise and play time, but because he's a cuddler it's just as important that he get a lap where he can lay his head. He weighs about 40 pounds and is about 2 years old, and yes he's housetrained. Because he's easily startled and a little sensitive we think he would do best with older children or adults. This little guy has been in two shelters and sold on Craig's List. It's time he got himself a REAL home. |

| Honey Honey-bunny is a female pekingese about 2 years old. Honey is a sweet, gentle, happy little dog. She is great with dogs and cats. She is house trained to use wee-wee pads and goes outside. She is good on lead and likes her walks and the dog park, but a secure fenced in yard is fine also she knows to come when called. She is crate trained and almost never barks, she loves her treats and knows to sit for them but hasn't discovered how to play with toys yet. Honey was rescued from a hoarding situation so she was never socialized with people. She is shy until she gets to know someone and then you get the happy dance when you get home and a constant shadow. Honey needs a quiet home with no young children and a patient, loving person with experience with dogs that is willing to give her a chance to blossom. She is a pleasure to foster and i know she will be a wonderful addition to a loving home.

Dodger Dodger is a sweetheart of a dog and loves being just a dog. He looks like a Pekapoo or Lhasa Apso mix, about 2 years old and 18 lb. He has a beautiful soft white coat and the biggest most soulful eyes, too. Dodger loves playing fetch and playing with his foster family of 4 other dogs, he's not sure what cats are for. He's house trained, loves going for walks, and rides well in the car. Dodger is a sensitive dog that can be shy with new things and fast movements. We do not recommend small children, but a dog savvy adopter would be ideal that will show him the world is a safe place. His foster mom thinks he's doing great now; and really wants to please, he just needs a patient person. |

She has been through one training session with a professional trainer and has been responding nicely. With the right guidance and training, she will be a great dog. A family from Mamaroneck was transferred to Puerto Rico for a year and found Sonrisa in the middle of the road dodging cars. (Sonrisa means laughter in Spanish) She is active, loves to play with other dogs and likes to cuddle. She is only 11 pounds and looks like she will remain a small dog. | Roxy Roxy is a beautiful and friendly Anatolian Shepherd mix. She is approximately 3 years old and weighs 90 pounds. Roxy loves people (adults and kids); she seems to wag her entire body as a "hello" greeting. She is house trained and gets along well with other dogs (and tolerates cats as well). Roxy came to Pet Rescue with torn ligaments in both of her hind knees. She has had surgery in both knees and is now on her way to a happy recovery and finding her forever home. Roxy loves to play with balls and sticks, and is looking forward to going back to dog parks and running around on the beach when her knees have heeled. She walks well on leash and generally listens to commands, but when determined to go in a specific direction she can have a strong pull. Roxy is a loving and playful dog that will make a great addition to any family.
