North

North is a beautiful, shy, female kitten of about 4.5 months. She has stunning markings on one ear and her tail. North was found by a commuter at the North White Plains train station with her brother, Metro, during the summer. Metro was quick to adapt to humans and has successfully been adopted. North faced a lot more trauma than her brother. She came to us with a large gash in her neck which needed to be stitched with a drainage tube. Her wound has 100% healed, but she needs more work to trust humans. North is looking for the perfect human match. She will do very well in a home with a patient, caring person who will give her the space to become the perfect companion. North has been in a loving foster home since her rescue and has made amazing progress. Her foster mother can confidently say that North will be an absolutely loving cat when matched with the right owner. North can now be held and pet for short periods of time. Whilst being pet, she purrs with the gentlest of motors. North loves to play with toys on sticks and is quite the acrobat while playing. She attacks feathers and mice with equal vigor and has been seen batting around a ball or two. North will not do well at an adoption fair, but her foster family would be happy to have you meet her in their home. Please open up your heart and your home to this sweet, sweet kitten. (md)
